A character can feel powerful right up until a Torment jump turns routine packs into a wall. That's the point where Diablo 4 gear starts mattering more than another quick level: a clean set of defensive Aspects, usable affixes, and upgraded Glyphs will usually carry a build farther than chasing one perfect drop. Don't treat every dungeon like a full-clear challenge. In high-reward or Strongroom setups, kill the elite density that matters, take the valuable payout, and reset. Players waste a surprising amount of time backtracking for small packs after the efficient part of the run is already finished.
Helltides also pair well with Pandemonium Rifts when you need materials and fragments without splitting your session between too many unrelated chores. Keep an eye on the Seasonal Reputation Board at Temis as well; repeatable rewards add up during a long grind. War Plans help here because less travel means more actual combat, but don't force an activity just because it fits a route. Save the Premium Grind for a Character That Can Use It
At Torment 10 and Pit 80+, Tower activities are a sensible place to hunt Greater Affix Ancestral bases, while Undercity runs target Runes and tributes. This is also the stage for elite Boss Lairs and Mythic hunting, but keys are too valuable to spend on a character with unfinished Glyphs or mismatched Paragon choices. Keep testing upgrades in real combat rather than trusting item color alone.
